For most of my life I've had nightmares, or not been able to remember my dreams. But, Ryan and I always pray for a nightmare-free night, and recently, I've been having ODD dreams. Last nights had me singing when I woke up. I invite your interpretations:
My 6th grade teacher was named Ms. Jeffries. I was in her classroom, but none of us were that young. I was my age now, and Ms. Jeffries left the class to go on a date and asked if I'd take over. The school I went to had a lot of ESL students from Asia, and we were supposed to be practicing talking. Of the several topics on the board, one was love. Most of the people in the classroom I didn't recognize, but three: my trainer on my mission who I affectionately call 'Willi', a girl named Alli who wasn't really a close friend in high school, and Sean, a kid who I was friends with who now sadly is in drug rehab. Everyone was introducing themselves, and then the next thing I know, the chalk board is covered in hearts and everyone's standing and singing that Whitney Houston song at the top of their lungs: "I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadow, if I fail, if I succeed, at least I'll live as I believe, no matter what they take from me, they can't take away my dignity....BECAUSE THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL IS HAPPENING TO ME!!" (Okay, you had to suffer through that because I've been singing it in my head all morning) The best part about this, was everyone was standing and waving arms back and forth over their heads, and Willi was at the piano improvising and pounding away.

Interpretations? Am I supposed to go into teaching? Does the world need more love? What are your thoughts? Whatever they may be, I hope you sing Whitney Houston's song today and wave your arms in the air.

Hahaha! I love this! And now I will be singing that song all afternoon. :)
My mom wakes up singing on occasion as well. We read somewhere (heavens, it was at least five years ago so I really don't remember where) that singing in your sleep is an indication that you are stressed. That fits the bill with my mom but I'm not sure that it fits you.
"Happy" seems to fit you more than "stressed".
Thanks for the giggle.
That is funny. Sorry, I don't have any interpretations, but it can be fun to have odd dreams sometimes.
